Hot Stone Massage is a full body relaxing massage that uses heated smooth basalt stones. They range between 90 - 120 minutes.The stones are between 125-135 Fahrenheit. Oil is applied to the body and stones, which allows the hot stones to glide smoothly along the muscles with no friction. Placement stones are placed on key points along the spine, abdomen, and between the toes. Unlike the media depicts, the stones will never be placed and left stationary directly on the clients skin at any time throughout the massage.

- Hot Stone should be avoided if you are pregnant. A hot stone massage alters the core body temperature which should not be raised during pregnancy. Pregnant women should check with their doctor first and consider getting a prenatal massage instead.
- Hot Stone should be avoided when experiencing a flare-up with a chronic condition. Heat will inflame the area more and the flare-up will worsen.
- *High Blood Pressure requires extra caution but can still be performed. A Hot Stone massage slightly raises blood pressure. Client's should inform therapist if they are overheating.
